No. The virtual bubble surrounding the users is purely “Virtual”. Bubble is a scan and alert device that uses radio frequency searching for other Bubble devices. Yes, Bubble will provide an additional layer of protection reminding your kid when he/she becomes too close to others. Bubble is extremely useful when kids are advised about the seriousness of the pandemic and they look for the flashing light, and the buzzing sound and know what to do. Stay back and stay safe.

That being said, Bubble or any other similar devices rely heavily on the safe behavior of the users. If your son does respect the seriousness and importance of staying physically distanced (as mandated by CDC) Bubble may not be as useful as it is designed to be.
The accuracy of the device depends on two factors
1) location condition, where units are being used. If there are number of walls and other objects blocking the transmission of the radio signals that will decrease the accuracy and the performance of the device.
2) How the unit is worn. Bubble will perform the best when it is not blocked by any object. A suitable way of wearing the Bubble is on a baseball cap away from blocking objects.
Sure, you could use the Bubble indoor such as at schools, offices, business meetings, places of worship, at the Mall or any other places that people get together.
You could also use the Bubble outdoors for sports events and training sessions such as soccer and baseball practices at the field. Just make sure you consult with us regarding your application. We have designed and manufactured special units that are better suited for the outdoors.

All it wants to do is to add another layer of protection against pandemic so you will be safer when in close proximity of others.
